It was an action-packed round of fixtures for DSC across multiple age groups, producing a mixture of big wins, tough lessons and plenty of goals.
A standout result came from our U21s, who secured an exciting 5–3 victory over Carbrain 19s AFC in the Hills Solicitors 21s Challenge Trophy which puts them through to the next round of the League Cup! The attacking display set the tone for a weekend that saw several teams finding the net in style.
In the CSFA 2011s Divisional Cup, our 2011 United team secured a semifinal slot; as did the 2013s in their respective Divisional Cup, overcoming Falkirk Foundation Blue 5–1.
There was another dominant show from our Girls U14 Navy team, who ran out emphatic 11–1 winners against Bellshill Athletic Girls U14s, showcasing clinical finishing and attacking confidence.
Elsewhere, Dunblane Rovers (2012) battled to a hard-fought 2–2 draw away to BSC Glasgow (2012 Blue), while DSC's 2008 side fell 4–2 to Armadale Community FC in cup action.
It proved a tougher day for some of the younger sides, with the Girls U14 Reds losing 10–1 to Riverside Maroons and the Girls U16 Reds defeated 5–0 in a friendly against Bo’ness United Community FC.
Despite the mixed results, the week highlighted strength and depth across our teams, with several teams producing high-scoring performances and valuable competitive experience across the age groups.
